An ultrasound Sono Scape ® brand was used with a 5-7 MHz linear transducer for ultrasound evaluation. Cross section measurements were taken at different areas of the 3rd metacarpal (cannon bone) at a referential distance from accessory carpal bone. A statistical evaluation was made in order to determine average measures for the breed. It was found that Peruvian Walking horses have thinner flexor tendons and suspensory ligament than Anglo-Saxon horses, non-trained heavy horses, Thoroughbreds, and Ponies. It’s expected that these results give reference information for ultrasonographic evaluation of these anatomic structures in Peruvian Walking horses, making it easier for veterinarians to perform an objective evaluation of injuries at these levels. Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia2021-12-23info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://revistas.upch.edu.pe/index.php/STV/article/view/411210.20453/stv.v9i2.4112Salud y Tecnología Veterinaria; Vol. 9 No. 2 (2021): Julio - Diciembre; 95-104Salud y Tecnología Veterinaria; Vol. 9 Núm. 2 (2021): Julio - Diciembre; 95-1042312-3907reponame:Revistas - Universidad Peruana Cayetano Herediainstname:Universidad Peruana Cayetano Herediainstacron:UPCHspahttps://revistas.upch.edu.pe/index.php/STV/article/view/4112/4644Derechos de autor 2021 Alexandra Craff, Eduardo Jimenezinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessoai:revistas.upch.edu.pe:article/41122021-12-23T18:27:27Z
