Thus, an adequate use of the inhibiters may multiply for ten the lile of the equipment in service, to prevent accidents and, ín sorne cases, to permit the utilization of steels and ordinary alloys instead ol other sophisticated materials and, expensive.El problema de la corrosión metálica constituye un aspecto fundamental en la sociedad actual, que descansa en el empleo de materiales metálicos en una proporción nunca utilizada hasta ahora. De entre los diversos procedimientos que se emplean para evitar este deterioro metálico, los inhibidores de corrosión constituyen uno de los métodos más efectivos y económicos para la protección de los metales trente al ataque agresivo del medio en el que se utilizan.
