Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the capacity for prevention, reduction, and control of these risks. ALOHA is a hazardous materials incident simulation software. To analyze its accuracy, a case study was used in which a tanker truck causes a leak of liquefied petroleum gas, resulting in ignition and deflagration in the district of Villa El Salvador, in the province and department of Lima.As emergências registradas anualmente no Peru evidenciam a insegurança que a população enfrenta devido à circulação de transporte com materiais perigosos. Portanto, é necessário fortalecer a capacidade de prevenção, redução e controle desses riscos. O ALOHA é um software de simulação de incidentes com materiais perigosos. Para analisar sua precisão, foi utilizado um estudo de caso em que um caminhão-tanque provoca um vazamento de gás liquefeito de petróleo, resultando em uma ignição e deflagração no distrito de Villa El Salvador, na província e no departamento de Lima.Las emergencias que se registran anualmente en Perú evidencian la inseguridad que sufre la población ante la circulación de transporte con materiales peligrosos. Por ello, es necesario fortalecer la capacidad de prevención, reducción y control de estos riesgos. ALOHA es un software de simulación de incidentes con materiales peligrosos.
