Four permanent measurement plots of 1 ha each were installed, divided into sub-plots for the evaluation of natural regeneration categories, such as saplings, low saplings, high saplings and stems. The results reported a total of 1487 individuals in the four PPMs, of which 761 individuals were in the stem category. The highest percentages of average annual increase, mortality and recruitment were recorded in the jumping category, with values of 2.2, 6.6 and 23.7%, respectively. Likewise, most individuals are free of lianas, reporting very straight and cylindrical stems, tolerable crown shape, but deficient crown lighting. In conclusion, the reserved forest requires silvicultural management to improve the shape of the canopy and its lighting, in order to favor the adequate growth of the individuals of natural regeneration.El objetivo de la investigación fue conocer la dinámica del bosque reservado de Tingo María, a través del análisis de las condiciones de incremento, mortandad y reclutamiento; así como de las condiciones silviculturales (iluminación y forma de las copas, calidad de fuste e infestación de lianas), con el fin de efectuar el manejo sostenible de dicho bosque. Se instalaron cuatro parcelas permanentes de medición, de 1 ha cada una, divididas en subparcelas de evaluación de categorías de regeneración natural, tales como brinzales, latizales bajos, latizales altos y fustales. Los resultados reportaron un total de 1487 individuos en las cuatro PPM, de los cuales, 761 individuos fueron de la categoría fustal. Los mayores porcentajes de incremento medio anual, mortandad y reclutamiento se registraron en la categoría brinzal, con valores de 2,2, 6,6 y 23,7%, respectivamente. Asimismo, los individuos en su mayoría se encuentran libres de lianas, reportando fustes bien rectos y cilíndricos, forma de copa tolerable, pero, deficiente iluminación de copa.
