Sumario:The main objective of the previous investigation was to know the degree of relationship between the problem-based learning and metacognition in students from the civil engineering at private university of Lima. To achieve this objective, it was necessary to include a population analysis. It’s a quantitative research, non-experimental design, correlational descriptive. It was assisted by 200 students as an analysis unit, the sample consisted of 126 students. Data were collected interviewing by simple random, processing data with the SPSS software 22 version. A statistical analysis Spearman’s rho was used. It was shown that there is a direct significant relationship between the study variables in a moderate and positive level with a correlation coefficient = 0,440 and a value of p= 0,000, rejecting the null hypothesis. It seems that there’s a need of implementing activities and conduct training on educational level to continue deepening the variables studied.
