The results, in total averages and CAS areas, showed highly significant differences (p < 0,01) between both groups. They were favorable for UNFV students, although they showed only slightly favorable (21.5%) levels. Also, in terms of origin, there are significant differences (p < 0,01), showing higher favorable values in students from provincial. According to religion, values denote similarity with no significant differences.Se analizó la identidad nacional en estudiantes de Psicología de una universidad nacional y una universidad privada. Para tal fin se utilizó el Inventario CAS (Cognitivo, Afectivo y Social) de Identidad Nacional de Salgado (2010), instrumento evaluado psicométricamente en cuanto a validez y confiabilidad. Luego se aplicó a una muestra de 200 estudiantes de Psicología (UNFV = 100 y UCV = 100) que fueron seleccionados de manera probabilística aleatoria simple. Los resultados, en promedios totales y por áreas CAS, evidenciaron diferencias muy significativas (p<0,01) entre ambos grupos, siendo favorables a estudiantes UNFV, aunque alcanzan solo niveles ligeramente favorables (21,5%). Asimismo, según procedencia, se observa presencia de diferencias significativas (p<0,01) mostrando valores más favorables para los estudiantes provenientes de provincia.
