Finally, the functional taxonomy developed by Ribes & Lopez (1985) is presented, as a different proposal of characterization of psychological development; and within it we highlight selectory function and its hypothetical relationship with learning to read.Se presenta una revisión sintetizada de la aptitud selectora visual, dentro de la metateoria psicológica denominada Psicología Interconductual. En principio se destaca la importancia que el aprendizaje, fundamentado en sus bases biológicas y estimulares, tiene para el desarrollo humano. Posteriormente se presenta la Psicología Interconductual como una propuesta de sistema psicológico con sustanciales dierencias a otros sistemas.
