The aim is to reconstruct, through qualitative analysis of the discourse of this testimony, the educational system built around the training of doctors, especially in a crucial period such as internship, in which medical practice is learned within the hospital. In this scenario, learning occurs related to medical knowledge and disease treatments, but also towards attitudes, emotions, and behaviors as a product of social interactions between the actors in health establishments. They shed light on a health system with many material deficiencies that reproduce situations of mistreatment and humiliation not only among doctors, but also towards patients.El presente artículo busca hacer una lectura del Diario de un interno de medicina. Aproximaciones a la educación médica y al sistema de salud en Lima, Perú, desde el enfoque de desarrollo humano y la teoría sociológica relacionada con los procesos educativos para caracterizar la formación médica en el internado de medicina. Lo que se propone es reconstruir, a través del análisis cualitativo del discurso de este testimonio, el sistema educativo construido alrededor de la formación de los médicos, sobre todo en un periodo crucial como el internado, en el cual se aprende el quehacer médico en la práctica dentro del hospital. En este escenario se producen aprendizajes vinculados al conocimiento médico y los tratamientos de enfermedades, pero también actitudes, emociones y comportamientos como producto de interacciones sociales entre los actores de los establecimientos de salud.
