Violence in Argentine football: keys to thinking about his deconstruction

This article reviews a series of proposals that we made in 2013 about the different factors that intervene and condition the development of violence in Argentine football. In this analysis we include a set of proposals aimed at dialogue with the national public policy with the intention of generating a solution to this problem. Until today, the number of wounded and dead associated with football continues to grow. According to data published by the ONG Salvemos Al Fútbol, 324 people have died in Argentina in situations related to football. Our study on the problem of «violences» (because there is no one single responsible or a single way of expressing violence) involves a multiplicity of social actors from different areas (hooligans, common fans, leaders, politicians, journalists, security forces, representatives of the judiciary) and different factors (historical, symbolic, political, security,organizational, journalistic). Faced with such a complex phenomenon, which presents different facets and protagonists, the answer can never be a super-law, a mega-operation, a hyper-sanction, mass arrests, prohibition of visitor fans or admission right execution. The solution can never be a purelyjudicialized look. For this reason, we aim to present some keys to deconstruct Argentine supporters.
