The purpose of this study is to examine the level of influence of the university professor's empathy on the academic training of master's students in education during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, through the analysis of the results of the cognitive empathy test. and emotional. It is concluded that the empathy of the university professor is an influential element in academic training and this work contributes to a limited understanding of the results of various instruments for the development of social skills.La actual crisis sanitaria ha destacado la falta de desarrollo de habilidades sociales en los profesores universitarios, en relación con su impacto en la educación académica y profesional de los estudiantes. En este contexto, algunos autores defienden la importancia de la empatía tanto cognitiva como emocional en el entorno educativo. Sin embargo, la actuación de los profesores no ha sido coherente con la adopción de esta perspectiva ni con la comprensión emocional. El propósito de este estudio es examinar el nivel de influencia de la empatía del profesor universitario en la formación académica de los estudiantes de maestría en educación durante la pandemia de Covid-19 en 2020, a través del análisis de los resultados del test de empatía cognitiva y afectiva.
