Sumario:The main objective of this research work is to analyze how the licensing process is carried out in Public Higher Education Pedagogical Institutes of the Ica Region, year 2021. In order to carry out this research, a methodological procedure based on the qualitative approach has been considered, the research is of basic type since its main interest is the understanding of the theories regarding licensing in public pedagogical higher education institutes of the Ica Region, the phenomenological design has been used, which seeks the understanding of the ways of acting of the people for data collection, the interview technique and the focus group as well as the documentary review have been used. The results of the research show that the requirements of institutional licensing constitute a great opportunity to improve various aspects of the quality of educational services, among which we can highlight institutional management, academic management, infrastructure, financial forecasting, the participation of educational stakeholders in institutional development, basic complementary educational services, and research management at the level of teachers and students.
