Además, se tiene como objetivos específicos describir las diferencias en el involucramiento paterno, coparentalidad y gatekeeping de acuerdo a las características sociodemográficas del grupo. Para ello, se evaluó a 128 padres residentes con edades entre 23 y 54 años (M= 34.13, DE = 6.99) de hijos entre 35 y 72 meses de edad (M=54.11, DE=10.35) utilizando la Escala de Involucramiento Parental: Actividades de Cuidado y Socialización para medir el involucramiento paterno, el Coparenting Questionnaire (CQ) para medir la coparentalidad y el Parental Regulation Inventory (PRI) para el gatekeeping materno. Se encontraron diferencias significativas en distintas áreas del involucramiento paterno excepto en el área de juego de acuerdo al trabajo remunerado de la madre, tiempo de trabajo del padre, edad del padre y nivel educativo del padre. En cuanto a los objetivos generales, se encontró una correlación directa entre el área de enseñanza y disciplina del involucramiento paterno y el puntaje total de coparentalidad de la madre. Asimismo, se encontró una correlación inversa entre esta misma área, enseñanza y disciplina, y el área de gatekeeping de criticismo, lo cual sugeriría que el involucramiento del padre en la enseñanza y disciplina del niño sería susceptible al apoyo o crítica de su pareja ante su desempeño en esta área.

In addition, the specific objectives of this study are describe the differences in father involvement, coparenting and gatekeeping according to the sociodemographic characteristics of the group. For this purpose, 128 resident parents aged between 23 and 54 years (M = 34.13, SD = 6.99) of children between 35 and 72 months of age were evaluated (M = 54.11, SD = 10.35) using the Parental Involvement Scale: Care and Socialization Activities to measure father involvement, the Coparenting Questionnaire (CQ) to evaluate coparenting and the Parental Regulation Inventory (PRI) for maternal gatekeeping. Significant differences were found in different areas of father involvement except in the play area according to the paid work of the mother, work time of the father, age of the father and educational level of the father. Regarding the general objectives, a direct correlation was found between the area of teaching and discipline of father involvement and the total coparental score of the mother.
