Estos cambios estarían transformando sus dinámicas de socialización, roles de género, autopercepción, aspiraciones y expectativas hacia los hombres. Así, el objetivo general de esta investigación cualitativa es analizar las representaciones sociales sobre la masculinidad en las mujeres rurales adultas emergentes (18 -25 años) de una universidad pública de Tayacaja - Huancavelica. Para ello se realizaron 10 entrevistas semiestructuradas que permitieron explorar estas representaciones sociales de la masculinidad. Esta investigación cualitativa se fundamenta en un diseño que se estructura en torno al análisis temático. Los resultados sugieren que estas mujeres están activamente redefiniendo la masculinidad, lo que evidencia cambios en la percepción de la masculinidad, una discrepancia entre las expectativas tradicionales sobre la masculinidad y lo que realmente demandan estas mujeres. Estos cambios, impulsados por el rechazo a la violencia y el machismo tradicional, reflejan una visión de la masculinidad con mayor apertura y flexibilidad en las expectativas hacia la misma, marcando así la contraposición a las concepciones tradicionales rígidas que antes predominaban, lo que propicia a una búsqueda de mayor equidad de género y promueve relaciones saludables y respetuosas en el ámbito rural.

These changes appear to be significantly transforming their socialization dynamics, gender roles, selfperception, aspirations, and expectations towards men. Thus, the overall objective of this qualitative research is to analyze the social representations of masculinity among emerging adult rural women (ages 18-25) at a public university in Tayacaja - Huancavelica. To this end, 10 semistructured interviews were conducted to explore these social representations. This qualitative research is based on a design that is structured around thematic analysis. The results suggest that these women are actively redefining masculinity, giving place to changes in their perception of it, a striking contrast between previous traditional expectations of masculinity and what these women actually demand. These changes, driven by a rejection of violence and traditional machismo, reflect a more open and flexible view of masculinity, thus contrasting with previous rigid traditional conceptions of it.
