El objetivo de esta investigación fue describir las características evolutivas del lenguaje en una adolescente con diagnóstico de afasia atendida en una institución privada de Lima. La metodología empleada fue un estudio de caso, se trata de un individuo de 16 años de sexo femenino, con un desarrollo normal previo, quien presentó en forma súbita un accidente cerebrovascular hemorrágico, presentando afasia, por lo que inició el proceso de intervención durante 4 meses. Se le realizó la evaluación de lenguaje inicial y post intervención con el Test de Boston adaptado. Los resultados fueron totalmente favorables en las características del perfil de habla y conversación, así como en la comprensión auditiva. En cuanto a la expresión oral, comprensión del lenguaje y escritura mejoró significativamente en la mayoría de subtest. |

The objective of this research was to describe the developmental characteristics of language in an adolescent with a diagnosis of aphasia treated at a private institution in Lima. The methodology used was a case study, it is a 16-year-old female, with a previous normal development, who suddenly presented a hemorrhagic cerebrovascular accident, presenting aphasia, for which the intervention process began for 4 months. The initial and post-intervention language evaluation was carried out with the adapted Boston Test. The results were totally favorable in the characteristics of the speaking and conversation profile, as well as in listening comprehension.
