Estandarización del método radioquímico para la determinación de Ra-226 en aguas

Descripción del Articulo

The present work shows the development of five radiochemical methods in order to determine Ra226 in river waters for human consumption, through gamma spectrometry. These methods are used in order to obtain this radionuclide as Ba(Ra)S04. The method tested was found to be the most appropriate due to...

These methods are used in order to obtain this radionuclide as Ba(Ra)S04. The method tested was found to be the most appropriate due to its lower cost, high radiochemical yield obtained (83.53 %) on average and the obtained results show smaller variability. This standardized method is applied to water samples of the Chillon river, outcoming an activity of 0.1526 Bq/L. Assuming inhabitants of Huarangal Valley consumme 2 liters of this river water daily. The annual ingest is about 111.398 Bq on average, which constitutes the 1.58 % of the allowed radioactivity limit given by the regulation on sanitary protection against ionizing radiation. Furthermore physical chemical analysis in waters of the Chillon river were performed. The results found are within the allowed ranges considered by the World Health Organization (WHO), the Technical Standars National Institute (ITINTEC-PERU) and Law of Waters. Chillon river waters can be destinated for the human consumption according to the physical - chemical analysis performed. The results obtained about radioactivity levels in these samples do not show radiosanitarian hazards for inhabitants of Huarangal Valley.Instituto Peruano de Energía Nuclearapplication/pdfspaLimaPEinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessInstituto Peruano de Energía NuclearRepositorio Institucional del Instituto Peruano de Energía Nuclearreponame:IPEN-Institucionalinstname:Instituto Peruano de Energía Nuclearinstacron:IPENAnálisis radioquímicoRadio 226Río ChillónAguaEstandarización del método radioquímico para la determinación de Ra-226 en aguasinfo:eu-repo/semantics/articleORIGINALPag. 81-84- ICT 1998-2001.pdfPag. 81-84- ICT 1998-2001.pdfapplication/pdf45017https://repositorio.ipen.gob.pe/bitstream/20.500.13054/187/1/Pag.%2081-84-%20ICT%201998-2001.pdf53245c1f3a5f33442f570ae372490f78MD51LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain; charset=utf-8103https://repositorio.ipen.gob.pe/bitstream/20.500.13054/187/2/license.txt7ecf7b0639239de61a3a1ede9c397fecMD52TEXTPag. 81-84- ICT 1998-2001.pdf.txtPag. 81-84- ICT 1998-2001.pdf.txtExtracted texttext/plain16102https://repositorio.ipen.gob.pe/bitstream/20.500.13054/187/3/Pag.%2081-84-%20ICT%201998-2001.pdf.txte2d93b36b7018213970cb4cf7dd84015MD53THUMBNAILPag. 81-84- ICT 1998-2001.pdf.jpgPag. 81-84- ICT 1998-2001.pdf.jpgGenerated Thumbnailimage/jpeg19667https://repositorio.ipen.gob.pe/bitstream/20.500.13054/187/4/Pag.%2081-84-%20ICT%201998-2001.pdf.jpg8e9c14fa4c8a248b7a7ccf63907905f5MD5420.500.13054/187oai:repositorio.ipen.gob.pe:20.500.13054/1872022-02-07 18:04:50.069Repositorio Institucional del Instituto Peruano de Energía Nuclearrepositorio@ipen.gob.peU2UgRGlzdHJpYnV5ZSBiYWpvIHVuYSBMaWNlbmNpYSBDcmVhdGl2ZSBDb21tb25zIEF0cmlidWNpw7NuLU5vQ29tZXJjaWFsLVNpbkRlcml2YXIgNC4wIEludGVybmFjaW9uYWwuCg==
