The objective of this research was to unveil the the values of industrial cultural heritage, specifically, the Pilsen Trujillo beer Factory in La Libertad, Peru. This issue was seen from the perspective of the pragmatic dimension of semiosis. Nowadays, in Peru the industrial buildings are disregarded by the cultural heritage institutions. This research was qualitative because it was conducted to discover cultural meanings, which belong to the industrial cultural heritage from the perspective of the users. Finally, the evidences led to the conclusion that heritage objects, as the Pilsen Trujillo beer factory, have communicational attributes. Therefore, semiosis, especially the pragmatic dimension, is necessary to comprehend the relation between a heritage object and its users.
El objetivo de esta investigación fue develar los valores del patrimonio industrial, caso de la Fábrica de Cerveza Pilsen Trujillo en la Libertad Perú, desde la perspectiva de la dimensión pragmática de la semiosis. Actualmente, en Perú los edificios industriales son ignorados por las instituciones encargadas del patrimonio cultural.  Esta investigación fue cualitativa porque se trató de descubrir significados culturales pertenecientes al patrimonio cultural industrial desde la perspectiva de los usuarios. Finalmente, por las evidencias, se concluyó que los objetos patrimoniales, como la Fábrica de Cerveza Pilsen Trujillo, tienen atributos comunicacionales, por tanto, la semiosis está presente en ellos, especialmente la pragmática, porque un bien patrimonial solamente se puede entender cuando este tiene relación con los usuarios.
