The following anide is abour the origin of the Spanish language falls within a millenariantradition that has as a result the predecessor of Latín. In this article, we will presenta general outlook of rhis evolution on rhe basis of Vulgar Latin, without leaving asidethe classic Latin. El origen del español se enmarca dentro de una tradición milenaria que tiene como predecesor al latín. En este trabajo presentaremos un panorama general de esta evolución teniendo como base al latín vulgar, sin dejar de lado, al latín clásico. Desde el nacimiento del término del latín vulgar, pasando por un contexto histórico de romanización y una evolución lingüística que permitió el paso a las actuales lenguas románicas, hasta un resumen del origen de tres lenguas románicas (francés, italiano y español) en el plano escrito, serán algunas de las líneas generales del presente trabajo. Canto conclusión presentaremos una reflexión acerca de nuestra lengua.
