The results of the psicométrico analysis, demonstrated to the validity of constructo and the trustworthiness of the Inventory of Educational quality. The analysis of the results indicated that, basically, significant correlations between both variables do not exist, except for which can be considered like losses. The comparative analysis by sort indicated that significant differences with respect to the educational quality do not exist, but however if they exist in the academic yield, noticing that women present/display values higher than men. In which one talks about to the comparisons by specialty, one was that significant differences in all the areas with the exception of the scale exist to know how to do.El presente estudio fue desarrollado en la Facultad de Educación de una universidad pública de Lima, sobre una muestra de 260 alumnos pertenecientes al primer año de estudios. En esta investigación se estudió las correlaciones que pudieran existir entre el rendimiento académico de los alumnos y la percepción que estos tienen de la calidad académica de sus docentes, para ello se utilizó un instrumento para evaluar la calidad de los maestros y las notas que los alumnos obtuvieron durante el primer año académico. Los resultados del análisis psicométrico demostraron la validez de constructo y la confiabilidad del Inventario de calidad Docente. El análisis de los resultados indicó que, básicamente, no existen correlaciones significativas entre ambas variables, salvo algunas que se pueden considerar como bajas. El análisis comparativo por género indicó que no existen diferencias significativas respecto a la calidad docente, pero en cambio sí existen en el rendimiento académico, notándose que las mujeres presentan valores más elevados que los varones.
