El presente estudio prospectivo evalúa la asociación de enfermedad periodontal de la gestante con el parto prematuro y bajo peso al nacer. Se examinó a 90 gestantes de 22 a 29 semanas de gestación, en el Hospital Docente Madre Niño “San Bartolomé”, en el periodo de julio-agosto del 2008. Introducción: Determinar la asociación entre insuficiencia hepática crónica agudizada (ACLF) y la mortalidad en pacientes cirróticos en el Hospital Nacional Arzobispo Loayza, Lima - Perú. Material y métodos: Estudio observacional, analítico y de cohorte. Se realizó un seguimiento durante 28 días a todos los pacientes inicialmente diagnosticados con cirrosis hepática descompensada que ingresaron al hospital entre los meses de diciembre 2015 y junio 2016. Para la tipificación de los participantes como ACLF se utilizó la escala del CLIF-ACLF. Para evaluar la normalidad de los datos cuantitativos se usó el estadístico de Shapiro Wilk. Las mujeres en edad reproductiva suelen verse afectadas por la vaginosis bacteriana. La vaginosis bacteriana durante la gestación puede generar consecuencias fatales tanto para la madre como para el recién nacido. El objetivo de la presente investigación fue determinar la frecuencia de vaginosis bacteriana mediante citología convencional en gestantes del Hospital Nacional Madre-Niño San Bartolomé durante el año 2021. Se diseño un estudio cuantitativo, no experimental, descriptivo, de corte transversal. La muestra estuvo constituida por 345 gestantes cuyas muestras cervicouterinas fueron procesadas en el servicio de citología del Hospital San Bartolomé.
