Pregnancy in young university students has unquestionable socio-cultural and psychological consequences at a high personal, educational, family, and social cost. The methodological approach is based on a qualitative interpretative approach, through informal talks and semi-structured interviews, with 21 students, based on an interview guide. The analysis of the information, through a continuous process of analogy, contrast and delimiting, from a contextual approximation that enabled their organization into three thematic blocks: (i) Sexuality and breaking child dependency; (ii) I’m late! This article analyzes features of the author’s artistic research in which he investigates space and time through soundwalking, an immersive and embodied practice with the capacity to engage critical attention and reanimate otherwise familiar surroundings. Inspired by social geographer Doreen Massey’s (2005) conception of space as “a simultaneity of stories so far” and “always in the process of being made,” the author’s soundwalks explore the points of intersection at which space is produced. In this paper, the author analyzes the temporal and corporeal aspects of the soundwalking, and their approach based upon an initial capture of sound recordings while walking a particular route, before returning them to be experienced in their original context, thereby exploiting the consequent temporal shift. Through the deliberate blending of these field recordings with the live sounds...

Twelve years after the resurgence of the left in Latin America, we are now witnessing its dawn and the emergence of the right. In the present article, the author asks if this situation responds to a situational crisis of the progressive governments of Latin America or, if in reality, we are witnessing the failure of these alternative projects that only produced cosmetic changes. The author analyzes the failed attempt to create new rules in the international system, national politics and the regional construction by the progressive governments, because of the use of outdated means —based on schemes and concepts of the Cold War— in a different global context. The article begins with a general exposition of the progressive proposals to later analyze the cases of Brazil and Venezuela, ending with conclusions of the main hypothesis.

In this research, the objective was to describe the perceptions that university students manifest of their formative process when moving from a face-to-face modality to a virtual one in the time of the SARS-CoV2 pandemic. The object of study was constructed from a sociological perspective that associated objective conditions and the corresponding production of subjectivities. Methodologically, three moments were recovered: 1) determination of social and technological capital; 2) construction of social classes from the determination of the volume and structure of capital; and 3) detection of student perceptions. The results (Cronbach's alpha of 0.913) establish that the lower the volume and structure of the students, the lower the academic performance, the less proclivity to an online work, the greater the need for academic accompaniment and the lower the institutional follow-up. By way o...

Since its inception, labour law surged as a response to the needs of workers who were submitted to a capitalist economy. However, with a shift to turbocapitalism, efficiency and consumption take precedent in redefi ning labor dynamics. As a result, labour law is bend to adapt to this new context. The author highlights the need of a historical revision to the content of labour law. This involves revisiting the economic context that positioned its inception to identify which elements are essential and defi ne their purpose. Finally, they detail the changes introduced through turbocapitalism as the dynamic of labour relations. From here, the author suggests a revision of the essential elements of labour law as the key to understanding this new economic era.

This study aims at systematizing and integrating research findings about Future Time Perspective (FTP) in Peruvian educational contexts. FTP is a motivational psychological variable that allows explaining the present behavior, considering goals set in the future.  The construct demonstrated its theoretical and empirical strength in different contexts. During the second half of the XXth Century Nuttin and Lens (1985) applied the variable in different fields, especially the educational one. Their proposal considered the cognitive and motivational properties of FTP; its density, extension and level of realism was then reported. Empirical research has been conducted to date under this theoretical background; however, a decade ago this concept was redirected to a multidimensional proposal conceptualized as Future Orientation (FO) considering three components: motivational, cognitive and beha...

This article provides a critical view of the evolution of law teaching in a context such as globalisation. To that extent, the author mentions how the reform of teaching at the Faculty of Law of the PUCP was initiated. From this, it was expected that the reform in legal education should be able to respond to social demands and contribute to the correct training of students, as well as provide the necessary resources to implement new legal specialisations in the light of the Peruvian social reality. In this way, the author argues that globalisation demands that the new generations break with the traditional paradigms of law teaching, which for a long time focused on a formalist and dogmatic formation of law. The author suggests a new way of teaching law, with the aim of training professionals who can understand and operate in a dynamic legal environment. This implies the need to integrate...

The institutional and functional crisis and the declaration of state of emergency have created a new legal framework to reform the old justice system. The new context serves to rethink the justice system and it is the opportunity to change the legal practices and institutions. For example, it was created the «Consejo para laReforma del Sistema de Justicia». This essay reviews the previous proposals to reform the «Consejo». It analyzes the judicial reform of 1958. One conclusion is that, probably, the different reform to the justice system does not benefit anything; but there is a reason to think that the «Consejo para la Reforma del Sistema de Justicia» will be a real change of the judicial system. It is for his legal design. The legal framework of the «Consejo» uses some democratic and constitutional norms. These serve to reassess the trust of citizens and the quality of the jus...

The world has become increasingly complex. Curriculum methods for the gifted are likewise. Extracted from these seminal and ongoing curriculum approaches are six rules based on best practices and research from our field, which can be grasped easily and applied by teachers anywhere. When teachers work from a set of principles they can adapt to needs of students and support growth, regardless of context. Using principles strengthens teaching and supports gifted students, and perhaps all students. The six principles include: a) focus on unique pattern of strengths, b) group students by interests or abilities at least part of the time, c) move as far and as fast in the basic skills as possible, d) enrich individual interests, e) offer mediation, counseling, mentoring and facilitation, and f) provide the tools for life-long learning.
