Probiotic therapy in endodontics emerges as a promising biotherapeutic strategy to modulate the microbiota of the root canal system, prevent microbial recolonization, and promote pulp-periapical health. Probiotics, defined as live microorganisms that confer health benefits to the host, have demonstrated antimicrobial and immunomodulatory effects, in addition to competing for nutrients and adhesion sites against endodontic pathogens such as Enterococcus faecalis and Candida albicans. The objective of this article is to explore the communities generated on YouTube by content creators on complementary and alternative medicine (CAM). Through graph theory, visual network analysis and a broad overview of the content of selected channels, communities are examined to assess their strength as a community in terms of their degree of connectedness and density. Strong communities are composed of individuals who spread the word about the same topic and viewpoint, acting as one block. Results showed that content creators who promote CAM on YouTube have small and weak communities; in contrast, content creators related to scientific dissemination, who are against CAM, have built strong communities.

Objetivo: Revisar, en la literatura actual, la estabilidad a largo plazo de los diferentes tratamientos de ortodoncia para la corrección de la mordida abierta en pacientes con dentición permanente. Materiales y método. Se realizó una búsqueda electrónica en cuatro bases de datos (PubMed, Elsevier, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar) y dos revistas especializadas (AJODO, Angle Orthodontics) hasta mayo de 2024. La calidad metodológica de los estudios fue analizada usando PRISMA checklist. El objetivo de esta investigación fue identificar las bacterias aisladas de Canis familiaris con otitis externa, mediante citología exfoliativa y cultivo, así mismo, comparar la relación entre la citología y el aislamiento bacteriano. Se muestrearon 48 caninos, sin distinción de raza, edad y sexo; los mismo fueron evaluados clínicamente, utilizando el llenado de una ficha epidemiológica de otitis externa, como también de una ficha otológica del oído externo para determinar la presencia de otitis en el canal auditivo.
