This research uses the Actor-Network Theory toolbox to open the black box behind the Pasco’s Proyecto Integral de Agua Potable Project collapse, an ambitious public infrastructural intervention caused by both local pollution conditions and the lack of water resources. We worked with a qualitative methodology focused on process tracing through the analysis of multi-sited narratives about humans and non-humans. Non-participant observation, documentary analysis, and anonymous semi-structured interviews with fourteen spokespersons of the project were used. The results suggest that the project collapse was caused by the fragility of the alliance system since the spokespersons were unable to centralize the management of the Local Implementation Network or translate the sociotechnical controversies around water, given its multidimensional nature.

En cuanto al proyecto de consultoría que se ha llevado a cabo para Recidar, encierra un enfoque innovador para garantizar un futuro viable a su compromiso social de abogar por procesos de economía circular en Lima. La iniciativa recomendada se construye a través de la colaboración con diferentes actores clave que permitirán optimizar el alcance y la profundidad de la nueva Recidar. La asociación con actores locales clave es la clave para que Recidar desarrolle una mejor vía para su visión a largo plazo. Dado que Recidar está actualmente atascada con el alto nivel de actividad que se le exige a diario, el trabajo externo propuesto le dará una nueva visión para construir adecuadamente su negocio de modo que pueda resistir a las importantes fluctuaciones del entorno externo en el que opera.

This article analyzes how social policy acts in relation to the elderly’s care service in the context of COVID-19, based on the experience of the Amachay project. It explores how and to what extent the various theoretical approaches to aging process of population are taken into account or left aside in this intervention. Therefore, it is based on the experience developed by a group of young social work students who participated as outreach workers and were in charge of the follow-up and coordination actions for users’ care service. This research yields very interesting results given that it allows to highlight a theoretical discussion from social policy field through the review of its methods, strategies, and field actions from social actors’ perspective, seeking to find clues for better social interventions with the elderly population.

The Brexit referendum is a good example of the particular vulnerability of the European project when fighting disinformation. Therefore, EU institutions have developed a series of initiatives throughout 2018 to define a European strategy to counter disinformation that emphasizes the responsibility of social networks in reporting false content. In addition, given the weakness of the European public sphere, the European institutions support the creation of European networks of fact checkers. Research related to the teaching-learning process, for many years, has been a concern of teachers and researchers to transform the traditional role of the student as a spectator and of the teacher as the main actor. The work presented constitutes part of the research carried out by the authors in the search for proposals that transform the teaching-learning process of physics in pre-university education and their objective is to establish the foundations and recommendations for the use of projects as a method that encourages students to become protagonists of their own learning.

This article presents an analysis of the factors that favoured the transition of farmers in Shambillo from an illegal economy supported by the coca leaf to one based on the cultivation of oil palm in the framework of the intervention of an alternative development programme (PDA) which resulted in the creation of the Association of Palmiculturists of Shambillo (ASPASH). In Peru the successful experiences of agrarian organizations are few, the present work takes one of these cases and analyzes the factors that, from the perspective of the target public of the PDA, contributed to their functionig. The objectives of this research are to learn about the strategies proposed for the Martinete Pilot Project (MPP) and the indicators that influenced the non-compliance of the destugurization plan in its physical-spatial, social, management and/or administration, planning and its mechanisms, legal and financial devices, and inter-institutional cooperation dimensions, through the application of a qualitative methodology, explanatory level with a nonexperimental, longitudinal and analytical design, consisting of three stages of analysis.The main result is that the project in general has a medium and high performance, because, although it contributed with the urban renewal of the historic center and the destugurization, it did not go further due to the isolation it presents in relation to other neighboring communities. From the review of two areas of relative state / indigenous peoples, territoriality, mining and energy projects and consultation, is to analyze the progress, setbacks and dissections lived in this relationshipduring the period 1990-2013, to contribute to the discussion of this problem in other countries experiencing similar circumstancesin Latin America.
