El proceso de coagulación en el tratamiento del agua para el consumo humano, es el método convencional para la remoción principalmente de parámetros físicos, que estos a su vez dan una apariencia sucia, estética indeseable y con presencia de posibles sustancias perjudiciales para la salud; por efecto al proceso de coagulación le siguen dos más (floculación y sedimentación) que se llevan a cabo de manera consecuente; en la presente investigación, se evaluó el efecto que ejerce la velocidad, dosis aplicada y concentración de almidón de maíz amiláceo en la remoción de parámetros (hierro, turbidez y color) presente en aguas subterráneas.
