Metal mining is one of the economic pillars of the Peruvian economy. Peru is the main producer of gold, zinc, lead, and tin in Latin America and the second largest producer of copper, silver, and zinc worldwide. El presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo general aumentar la productividad en la Empresa Segusa SAC-Trujillo mediante la propuesta de mejora en el área de Producción de calzado de cuero. Para llevar a cabo esta propuesta, primero, se desarrolló un diagnóstico del área dando como resultado las siguientes causas raíces: No se cuenta con estaciones de trabajo balanceadas, falta de estandarización y documentación de sus procesos, material desperdiciado en producción, áreas de trabajo desordenadas, falta de cultura de orden y limpieza por parte de los operarios. Dando una productividad de 0.87 par/hora-Hombre (616 pares diarios) y 0.03 par/ por cada sol invertido en materiales (1 par por S/.29.05 de inversión en materiales). Además de registrar un total de 684 paros no programados de máquinas y un tiempo total de reparaciones TTR de 9489 hrs, obteniendo una disponibilidad de 86.4%....
