Pollution and environmental deterioration have become the biggest problems in the contemporary world and constitute the thematic reference to be addressed by the educational field. The objective of the research was to propose an educational program to improve environmental awareness in children at the initial level. A qualitative methodology was determined by interviewing teachers and directors, whose perceptions were optimally triangulated. This study aimed to examine the potential relationship between competencies and learning outcomes in reading and mathematics among children attending public schools, and the different levels of educational quality, using official data from the Ministry of Education of Peru.Using previously designed psychopedagogical tests, reading and mathematics competencies were assessed in 217 third-grade students from schools in Callao. The students were grouped based on whether their schools had received the “school bonus” awarded by the Ministry of Education (MINEDU) in 2016 and 2017, or had not received it. This article have the purpose of analyze the effects of Covid-19 in the public education in Lima Metropolitan. First, a general overview of the effects of the pandemia in different educational stakeholders and the differents challenges that they have taken up. From 9 interviews made principals, vice-principals, and teachers of the capital of the country, is possible to conclude that the connectivity problems coupled with a lack of adequate equipment for virtual clases, has increased inequality in access to education at all educational levels. Further, we have to highlight the psychological effects of the pandemic, essentially with emotional problems in the persons involved.
