This paper is about developing a nonlinear model to predict the behavior of future exchange rate based on the opinion of the economic agents participating in the dollar/peso market. Such views are treated with Fuzzy Logic and a variant of it, known as the Theory of Forgotten Effects. The aim is to find a mechanism for making coverage decisions that allow us an optimal exchange rate risk management at a lower cost than that which involves operations with traditional hedging instruments. For the period of investigation and applying this model, the results support that the collective opinions of economic experts involved in the decision making risk management of exchange rate provide better results than those using traditional methods in the future markets.

Las máquinas valorizadoras de monedas en el mercado peruano en su mayoría tienden a aceptar monedas falsas de un sol como genuinas y los cinco pesos mexicanos los valorizan como 5 soles, esto es un problema para las transportadoras de valores y bancos que recaudan dinero diariamente y lo procesan en sus salas de procesamiento. Por ende, como propuesta de solución para el caso de las monedas falsas de 1 sol se utilizarán nueve sensores Eddy current para detectar el níquel que tienen las monedas genuinas de un sol, ya que las monedas falsas no contienen níquel. Estos sensores estarán posicionados en un cilindro de acero inoxidable con un diámetro de 2.5 cm para que puedan detectar la moneda por regiones. The Soxhlet method in extracting plasticizers from PVC compounds presents various areas for improvement, such as the amount of solvent used, the time required in the process, and its costs. This study proposes replacing the Soxhlet method with the ultrasound-assisted method to reduce the time, costs, and amount of solvent used in plasticizer extraction. It also proposes using solvent recovered from previous extractions to reduce costs further. The study involved experimentation with three different grades of PVC compounds (medical, cable, and profile) to compare the recovery of plasticizers by the Soxhlet and the ultrasound-assisted methods. Objective: To describe the use of laboratory tests by medical staff assigned to the emergency department of a hospital in Mexico. Materials and methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted from March to July 2022 with data from 351 users of an emergency department. A non-probability convenience sampling was used. The sample included medical records of individuals over 18 years of age, of both sexes, who had a laboratory report and received medical attention in the emergency department in the past seven days. Pregnant women, postpartum women and individuals in shock were excluded.
