Los países en desarrollo como el Perú y las Filipinas comparten similares problemas ambientales. La degradación de los recursos ambientales en Bohol, Filipinas ha avanzado hasta un estado crítico debido a la sobrepoblación, la guerra civil, deforestación y falta de estrategias y políticas de protección y manejo ambiental. En el Perú se está produciendo una degradación ambiental que, sin embargo, no ha llegado al estado crítico. Debido a semejanzas en el crecimiento poblacional, uso de la tierra y fisiografía, la información obtenida mediante el estudio sistemático de la degradación ambiental y de la ampliación agrícola en las Filipinas, es aplicable al Perú. The enormous geographical distances and slowness in communications between Mexico and the Philippines constituted a problem in the provision of trades. The Tribunal of the Holy Office of New Spain, on whom they depended on to carry out an effective inquisitorial activity, had to implement a series of actions with the aim of correcting all these inconveniences, Mexico’s inquisitorial court implemented a series of measures. The first was to grant a special concession to the Manila comisaria to be able to apply sentences in minor crimes. The second was to establish a territorial division of the diocesan comisarias to expand their presence to most of the populations of the islands. Finally, the simultaneous appointment of three comisarios who could replace the owner at any time in case of absence.

En el sudeste asiático, las últimas décadas han estado marcadas por una coexistencia ambigua entre avances democráticos y el resurgimiento de tendencias autoritarias y populistas. Esta investigación analiza comparativamente las manifestaciones del autoritarismo electoral y el populismo en Indonesia, Tailandia y Filipinas entre 2010 y 2020. Con un enfoque cualitativodescriptivo, comparativo y longitudinal no experimental, el estudio se sustenta en una revisión exhaustiva de literatura académica, análisis documental y estudios de caso. This article aims to analyze the role of the Jesuit brother Francisco Velho as procurador general of the Jesuit Province of the Philippines in Madrid. During his stay at the Court, Velho presented three memorials that attempted to solve the difficult question of the spiritual dependence of the islands of Maluku. He proposed to the Consejo de Indias and the Consejo de la Suprema Inquisición the creation of a tribunal of the Holy Office in Manila. In this study we will analyze how the Holy Office was perceived in the strategy of the procurador general of the province of the Philippines. Likewise, we will consider why the project failed.

In this article, the author analyses the activity of colonial institutions in the Philippines during the Spanish period with references to its ethnic particularities. In this sense, the “Consultas y resoluciones varias, teológicas, jurídicas, regulares y morales” (1687) was an illustrative example of work about the judicial and extrajudicial resolution of conflicts in the Philippines under the Habsburgs.In its pages reflects the academic and colonial career of its author, named Juan de Paz. The casuistry and the projection of Thomist thought are two important characteristics of his juridical dissertation. The purpose of this paper is the study of the “Consultas” in regard to his legal, doctrinal and social considerations about women.
