Para el presente estudio, fueron adquiridos 276 atunes, entre enero de 2000 y diciembre de 2002, en mercados de peces, siendo 107 ejemplares de Katsuwonus pelamis (Linnaeus, 1758), 5 Auxis thazard (Lacepède, 1800), 92 Thunnus albacares (Bonnaterre, 1788), 30 Thunnus atlanticus (Lesson, 1830), 25 Thunnus obesus (Lowe, 1839), y 17 Thunnus thynnus (Linnaeus, 1758) pescados en el municipio de Cabo Frio, Estado de Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. Cincuenta y seis (20,28%) de los peces fueron parasitados por lo menos con una especie de parásito. Se colectaron un total de 196 nemátodos larvarios y fueron identificados como: Anisakis (Rudolphi, 1809, det. Krabbe, 1878), A. physeteris Baylis 1923, Contracaecum sp. y Raphidascaris sp. The life cycle of tetraphyllid cestodes is complex, involving plerocercoid larvae that can utilize teleost fish as a second intermediate host or paratenic host, in which they can exhibit a diversity of plerocercoid larvae. The objective of this study is the morphological characterization of tetraphyllid plerocercoids in Trichiurus lepturus Linnaeus, 1758 from the coast of the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In July 2018, 33 specimens of T. lepturus were obtained from professional fishermen, captured near the Cagarras archipelago (23°1'52"S, 43°11'56"W), state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Recientemente, se han presentado datos sobre lista de verificación de los platelmintos parásitos de los seres humanos depositados en Helminthological Colección del Instituto Oswaldo Cruz (CHIOC), Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. El presente estudio se relaciona con la lista de verificación de los nematodos parásitos de humanos. Existen varios tipos de helmintos depositados en la CHIOC, incluidos los parásitos de importancia médica y veterinaria. Las muestras están depositadas como material líquido o montaje final. Para obtener el conocimiento de los nematodos que parasitan al hombre depositados en CHIOC, se realizo un estudio de sus muestras en su base de datos informatizada y sus fichas de catálogo. From October 2006 to March 2008, sixty specimens of Paralichthys isosceles, were captured in the littoral of the State of Rio de Janeiro Brazil. The present study deals with the taxonomic identification of the cestodes parasitizing this fish species, as well with the analysis of parasitological indexes, sites of infection, taking into account the hygienic-sanitary importance of the host in Brazilian and foreign markets. Fifty-six (93.3%) out of the collected fishes were infected with at least one specimen of metacestodes. De julio a diciembre de 2013, fueron comprados 30 ejemplares de Priacanthus arenatus (Cuvier, 1829) comercializados en los municipios de Niterói y Rio de Janeiro, Estado de Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. Alos peces se les practicó la autopsia y se filetearon para investigar la presencia de larvas de cestodos. Tres peces fueron parasitados con trypanorhyncha y fueron identificados como Callitetrarhynchus speciosus (Linton, 1897) Carvajal & Rego, 1985 basado en caracteres morfológicos y morfométricos. Mexicana anisotremum n. sp. (Monogenea) a gill filaments parasite of two species of fishes of the genus Anisotremus from the coast of the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (approx. 21-23º S, 42-45º W), is described and illustrated. The monogeneans were collected from 32 specimens of Anisotremus virginicus (Linnaeus, 1758), and 13 specimens of A. surinamensis (Bloch, 1791) (Haemulidae). The new species of Mexicana, differs from M. atlantica Luque, Amato & Takemoto, 1992 by: 1. presence of a sclerotized structure with six spines in vaginal vestibule; 2. absence of bilobed testes; and 3. Presence of copulatory organ without sclerotized piece at its base.

Hassalstrongylus luquei n. sp. is described from the small intestine of Euryoryzomys russatus (Rodentia: Sigmodontinae) collected in the Atlantic Forest (Rio de Janeiro State, Angra dos Reis, Brazil). The genus Hassalstrongylus includes 16 Neotropical species. The main characters of new species are subsymmetrical caudal bursa with a type 2-2-1, rays 8 branching at midlength of dorsal trunk, right lateral trunk larger than the left and the longest spicules in the genus. Only three species of Hassalstrongylus have the rays 8 not emerging at the base trunk, these are: H. mazzai; H. aduncus; and H. echalieri. However, the present species is distinguished from H. mazzai by having the dorsal rays divided at fourth part of the trunk, H. bocqueti by having rays 5 bifurcating at third part of trunk and H. echalieri by having a pattern of 2-2-1.

Thunnus atlanticus is of great commercial importance in Brazil, but infections caused by helminth parasites can reduce its commercial value. In this paper, 15 species of Digenea and three of Monogenoidea were recovered from 61 specimens of T. atlanticus collected from the coastal zone of the State of Rio de Janeiro. Species of the family Didymozoidae were the dominant species, with highest prevalence and abundance values. The parasites showed the typical aggregated distribution pattern, except for Nasicola brasiliensis, which had an aleatory distribution pattern. Prevalence and abundance of Didymosulcus philobranchiarca, Didymocystis lamotheargumedoi and Didymosulcus wedli and prevalence of Koellikerioides internogastricus were positively correlated with the total length of the host. This work aimed to identify the relationship between Resilience, Coping, Social Skills and Problem-Solving, and compare said constructs between psychology students and students from other areas of human sciences. Eight hundred sixteen (816) university students from public and private institutions in the state of Rio de Janeiro whose age ranged from 17 to 44 years participated in this study. The research instruments were: Social Skills Inventory Scale, Problem-Focused Coping Scale, Resilience Scale for Adults, and Problem-Solving Skills Scale. The results showed differences between the groups of students regarding social skills deficits, and a positive correlation between the Problem-Focused Coping Scale and the Problem-Solving Skills Scale. This article examines how male and female undocumented Brazilian adults seek the first document of their lives, the birth certificate, in a free service set up by the Court of Justice of the state of Rio de Janeiro inside a bus in the center of the city. This paper presents the history of the Brazilian civil registry system and the birth under-registration focused on adults. It describes the field and methodology used, and examines the participants based on life stories of two women. It discusses concepts such as identity and rights expressed by undocumented Brazilians and reflects on the role of the document as a key to access to citizenship. Based on Bourdieu’s work, the article analyzes the birth certificate as a result of an institutional rite and problematizes the meaning attributed to the document by users. Este estudo busca compreender os atributos de personalidade em um projeto de marca direcionado ao arranjo produtivo local (APL) do setor automotivo localizado no município de Nova Iguaçu no estado do Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. Quanto à classificação da pesquisa, esta se classifica como uma pesquisa exploratória. O trabalho utilizou a escala da personalidade de Aaker que foi adaptada para a realidade brasileira. Neste trabalho, tais atributos foram testados através do modelo de Kano. O consumidor entrevistado apontou através das respostas ao questionário, a fim de saber qual atributo da marca desperta maior grau de desempenho e satisfação no cliente. Calcula el blindaje mediante el código MCNP del búnker del ciclotrón PETtrace 880 de la unidad de producción R2/RJ. El uso de técnicas de simulación utilizando el método de Monte Carlo en instalaciones de un ciclotrón, es fuertemente recomendable para la caracterización completa del campo de radiación de neutrones. Los deslizamientos son fenómenos naturales que ocurren de manera frecuente, perjudicando a numerosos centros poblados e incluso provocando pérdidas humanas y materiales. Debido a esta problemática, se propone un algoritmo de monitoreo de superficies utilizando señales de radar terrestre de apertura sintética (GBSAR) y técnicas interferométricas para proveer de información sobre el comportamiento de la dinámica de suelos que aporte en la prevención de derrumbes y deslizamientos.
