The epidemic profile in our country shows a series of problems that affect mainly the health of women and that in most cases is a consequence of gender inequity and poverty. This together with a loss of their right to their sexuality, through control mechanisms and exercise of power which constrain their right to improve their quality of life and human development. Moreover, health policy makers do not respond to the necessities, problems and demands coming from the most remote and multicultural settlements. Therefore, its is necessary to know this people's reality before devising solutions by means of educational programs, the invigoration of sexual and reproductive rights of both women and men, as well as promoting the participation of health service professionals, from a gender perspective. |

Esto unido a una pérdida, por parte de la mujer, de su derecho sobre su sexualidad, expresada a través delos mecanismos de control y ejercicios de poder; limita su derecho a la libertad, a mejorar su calidad de vida y al desarrollo humano. Asimismo, las políticas de salud no responden a las necesidades, problemas y demandas de las poblaciones más alejadas y pluriculturales de nuestro país. Se hace necesario, por lo tanto, conocer la realidad antes de dar respuestas a los problemas y necesidades, mediante acciones educativas y de fortalecimiento de los derechos sexuales y reproductivos de mujeres y varones; así como, involucrar la participación de los profesionales de los servicios de salud, abordando el trabajo de salud reproductiva desde una perspectiva de género.application/pdfspaUniversidad del Pacífico.
