Sumario:ABSTRACT The covid-19 has been the cause of many changes nowadays.The objective of this work is to measure the influence of Covid-19 on the motivation of online shopping in the inhabitants of the northern area of Peru, this is why the commerce has come to have a leading role that now we are studying, not just after the pandemic but before. The present investigation is a descriptive, correlational study. To obtain this information, a survey was made in a group of 3193 inhabitants. The main results is that after COVID-19 internet shopping (61.35 %) has come to lead the market, with a growth of 51.77% percent, whereas before the covid -19 the physical shopping in stores led (90.42%). Also, this pandemic has changed radically people’s preferences. We concluded that the conjunctural situation that we are going through because of the covid19 pandemic is a complicated situation, which make companies and consumers to try and experiment with new models of buy and seld such as the online shopping. Companies must have the ability to supply their consumers and generate good experiences for them.
