description RESUMEN Las palas hidráulicas EX5500 son equipos críticos en los proyectos mineros a tajo abierto, y contribuyen significativamente a alcanzar las metas de producción. La disponibilidad de estos equipos depende de varios factores, dentro de ellos está la gestión del stock de componentes reparables, necesarios para atender las intervenciones de mantenimiento. El estudio analiza la conveniencia de priorizar estos componentes mediante el diagrama de dispersión de costos (DDC). Este diagrama, presentado como una herramienta de priorización de modos de fallo en función del costo global, brinda información incorporando indicadores de mantenimiento. Esta perspectiva se mejora en el estudio, y se le da un enfoque holístico incorporando el costo de oportunidad por pérdidas en producción, en términos de lucro cesante.

El estudio analiza la conveniencia de priorizar estos componentes mediante el diagrama de dispersión de costos (DDC). Este diagrama, presentado como una herramienta de priorización de modos de fallo en función del costo global, brinda información incorporando indicadores de mantenimiento. Esta perspectiva se mejora en el estudio, y se le da un enfoque holístico incorporando el costo de oportunidad por pérdidas en producción, en términos de lucro cesante.ABSTRACT EX5500 Hydraulic Shovel Excavators are critical equipment in open pit mining projects and significantly contribute to meet production goals. The availability of these equipments depends on many factors, among them, the management of the stock of fixable components necessary to deal with maintenance procedures. The study analyses the convenience to prioritize these components through the cost scatter diagram. This diagram, shown as a tool of prioritization of failure modes according to the global cost, gives information by adding maintenance indicators.
