description Debido al permanente avance de la tecnología, la ingeniería en nuestro país debe seguir creciendo, desarrollándose y poniendo en práctica otros sistemas constructivos, técnicas y materiales, con el objetivo de obtener edificaciones resistentes que sean capaces de soportar movimientos sísmicos, que sean más livianos y que sean otras alternativas económicas. El presente trabajo de investigación se realizó en la ciudad de Trujillo, región La Libertad en el año 2020 teniendo como objetivo determinar un análisis comparativo entre dos sistemas estructurales: EMMEDUE y EMDL para la construcción de viviendas. La importancia de esta investigación reside en que se presentó un análisis de comportamiento sismorresistente, estructural y económico, ya que es importante mostrar otros sistemas constructivos, que bajo altos controles nos permitan elegir otras opciones para la construcción de nuestras viviendas. La presente investigación es de tipo descriptiva, con diseño no experimental y con una unidad de estudio transversal, la muestra fue no probabilística, la recolección de datos se realizó mediante la revisión documental y la entrevista; y los instrumentos utilizados fueron la ficha resumen y la guía de entrevista. Entre los principales resultados que se obtuvieron de la investigación tenemos que ambos sistemas cumplen satisfactoriamente los requisitos de diseño Sismorresistente y estructural, mientras que, para costos se encontró que el sistema estructural EMMEDUE resulta más económico que el sistema estructural EMDL.

This research work was carried out in the city of Trujillo, La Libertad region in 2020 with the objective of determining a comparative analysis between two structural systems: EMMEDUE and EMDL for the construction of houses. The importance of this research lies in the fact that an analysis of seismic resistant, structural and economic behavior was presented, since it is important to show other construction systems that, under high controls, allow us to choose new options for the construction of our homes. The present investigation is descriptive, with a non-experimental design and with a cross-sectional study unit, the sample was non-probabilistic, data collection was carried out through documentary review and interview; and whose instruments used were the summary sheet and the interview guide.
