Sumario:Agricultural producers base their decisions on unofficial information or on their own experience, and despite the fact that there is a state regulator in charge of collecting data on agricultural production, not all producers have access to this information. This article deals with the benefits of implementing a business intelligence system in crop management for agricultural production. This is a quasi-experimental investigation where the data obtained by the La Libertad Regional Agriculture Management and the survey, carried out with agricultural producers in the province of Otuzco, were used as data collection techniques. To prepare of the Business Intelligence System, the Scrum methodology was used, whose main advantage is to be aligned between the client or sponsor with the development team. The results of this research is that with the implementation of the business intelligence system, the response time to queries was reduced, where from 8 hours it can be reduced to 15 minutes. In addition, it determines that 54.93% agree and 35.21% fully agree on the implementation of the system and finally the percentage of scope of the information was expanded from 7% to 71%.
