description Con la problemática constante de la cosificación y minimización de la mujer dentro de la industria del videojuego, esta investigación plantea analizar las percepciones, respecto a la representación de la violencia de género a partir de la narrativa de Detroit Become Human, en un grupo de la comunidad gamer limeña. Por el enfoque cualitativo de este trabajo, se optó como diseño metodológico un estudio de caso y mediante las realizaciones de focus group virtuales, los cuales fueron divididos en hombres y mujeres, se recolectó las impresiones respeto actos violentos contra personajes femeninos y la identificación que pueden sentir al visualizar estos escenarios. Los resultados indicaron que no se presenta una aceptación clara sobre la violencia de género, especialmente en el grupo masculino. Además, se encontró que el grupo de mujeres posee una mejor posición respecto a la problemática cuando pasa por una experiencia similar a los hechos, sea personal o cercana. Al final, se llega a la conclusión que los videojuegos si pueden ser una herramienta útil para empezar a concientizar sobre la violencia de género, pero que aún se debe trabajar en ello.

Los resultados indicaron que no se presenta una aceptación clara sobre la violencia de género, especialmente en el grupo masculino. Además, se encontró que el grupo de mujeres posee una mejor posición respecto a la problemática cuando pasa por una experiencia similar a los hechos, sea personal o cercana. Al final, se llega a la conclusión que los videojuegos si pueden ser una herramienta útil para empezar a concientizar sobre la violencia de género, pero que aún se debe trabajar en ello.With the constant problem of the objectification and minimization of women in the video game industry, this study proposes to analyze the perceptions, regarding the representation of gender violence from the narrative of Detroit Become Human, in a group of the Lima gamer community. A case study was chosen as the qualitative approach to this work and through the realizations of virtual focus groups, which were divided into men and women, impressions were collected respecting violent acts against female characters and the identification they may feel when visualizing these scenarios. The results indicated that there is no clear acceptance of gender-based violence, especially in the male group. In addition, it was found that the female group has a better position towards the problem when going through an experience similar to the facts, whether personal or close to them.
