A pilot test was realized and finally the scale was applied to a total of 332 college students. By a principal component analysis, two factors were found and the item 12 was taken out. The bifactorial model of the EPGE-13 was confirmed doing an CFA. Using the SPANAS, convergent and divergent validity evidences, were obtained. Likewise, the scale demonstrate adequate reliability (internal consistency, α = .79 for the factor of eustress and α =.77 for the factor of distress). Demographic results indicated that there was a major presence of perceived stress in women than in men. Nevertheless, there were not significant differences between stress and birthplace. |

De ser adaptada, se podrá medir el grado en que las situaciones en la vida se valoran como estresantes. La escala fue revisada por un grupo de jueces, luego se realizó una comparación lingüística con la escala adaptada en Chile y México, y una doble traducción con la versión original. Se aplicó a una muestra piloto y finalmente a un total de 332 universitarios. Mediante un análisis de componentes principales se encontraron dos factores y se eliminó el ítem 12. Se confirmó el modelo bifactorial del EPGE-13 haciendo un análisis factorial confirmatorio (AFC). Se obtuvieron evidencias de validez divergente y convergente utilizando el Escala de Afectos Positivos y Afectos Negativos (SPANAS). Así mismo, la confiabilidad estimada de los puntajes generados por el instrumento fue de .79 para el factor de eustrés y de .77 para el factor de distrés, bajo el coeficiente de alfa de Cronbach. Los resultados demográficos indicaron que había mayor presencia de estrés percibido en mujeres que en hombres.
