description Actualmente se tiene una problemática en el transporte en la ciudad de Lima, principalmente por la gran congestión vehicular que se da en ciertos puntos específicos de la ciudad, esto se ve en la Carretera Central, en gran medida por camiones de carga que obstruyen el normal tránsito en las vías, ante esto, el objetivo principal de esta investigación es proponer una alternativa para mejorar la eficiencia del transporte de productos agrícolas hacia “El Gran Mercado Mayorista de Santa Anita” desde la sierra central usando el ferrocarril, disminuyendo así, la carga de congestión vehicular existente de camiones que transportan productos agrícolas para abastecer este mercado y otros de la ciudad de Lima. Para este proyecto se realizó un estudio de viabilidad para una empresa que realice el servicio de transporte de estos productos agrícolas desde la región de Junín hasta el Gran Mercado Mayorista de Santa Anita, analizando las formas de transporte por ferrocarril y haciendo un análisis de ubicación para un centro logístico de carga, lugar donde se realizará el acopio y carga de productos a transportar mediante el método “Modalohr”, novedosa técnica en la región que muestra gran éxito en el transporte bimodal en varios países de Europa. Además, se realizó un diseño para la vía férrea que conectará el interior del Gran Mercado Mayorista de Santa Anita a las vías férreas existentes, así como también una propuesta de diseño para el centro logístico de carga, ubicada en Huancayo, como para el centro logístico de distribución, este último ubicado al interior de las instalaciones del Gran Mercado Mayorista de Santa Anita. De acuerdo con el análisis realizado, se concluye que este proyecto es técnicamente viable, pues eleva los estándares de calidad y seguridad en el transporte de productos agrícolas y descongestiona las vías de la Carretera Central en gran medida; económicamente es viable si se logra ingresar a usar las vías férreas como operador.

For this project there is an option of viability for a company that perform the transport service of these agricultural products from the region of Junín to the “Gran Mercado mayorista De Santa Anita” analyzing the forms of railway transport and the location of the cargo logistics center, place where the collection and loading of products to be transported will be carried out through the "Modalohr" method, a new technique in the region that shows great success in bimodal transport in several european countries. In addition, a design was made for the railway that will connect the interior of the Gran Mercado mayorista de Santa Anita to the existing railroad tracks and also for the cargo logistics center, located in Huancayo and the distribution logistics center, located inside the market.
