Por ello se analizó la situación aplicando una metodología del tipo transversal, prospectiva, no experimental bajo un enfoque cuantitativo. Se tuvo una población conformada por 380 pacientes con VIH – sida que estuvieron en el programa de terapia antirretroviral del hospital referencial de Ferreñafe y una muestra con 191 pacientes que lograron cumplir los criterios de inclusión. El instrumento fue una ficha de recolección de datos donde indicamos las manifestaciones orales, sexo edad, carga viral y CD4 además está ficha fue validada por cinco experto especialista. Se tiene como resultado que existe prevalencia de las manifestaciones bucales con pacientes con VIH – sida que están dentro del programa de terapia antirretroviral del hospital referencial de Ferreñafe, 2019 con un 59.50% y no presentan un 40.50%.
