Por ello, el objetivo de la presente investigación fue analizar la influencia moderadora del género en la relación entre el liderazgo transformacional percibido (LTP) y el desempeño laboral (DLA) de los millennials. Se tomó una muestra intencional de 216 colaboradores de diferentes empresas del sector retail de la ciudad de Lima, Perú. Se emplearon los cuestionarios IWPQ (Individual Work Performance Questionnaire) y el cuestionario MLQ (Multifactor Leadership Questionnnaire) y un modelo de ecuaciones estructurales tipo PLS-SEM, el cual fue resuelto con el software Smartpls. Los resultados obtenidos permiten afirmar que se verificó la fiabilidad y validez psicométrica de los constructos evaluados y, también, que la relación entre LTP y DLA arrojó un coeficiente Path de 0.50, con un p valor asociado de 0,00; mientras que la diferencia entre hombres y mujeres para esta relación mostró un p valor de 0.74.
