Sumario:This thesis aims to evaluate the behavior and impact of education on the economy, specifically in Peru. For this, it has been considered that basic education at the primary and secondary levels are fundamental part of the development of the human being, being the secondary level of great importance, since it is the door to be incorporated into the workplace in the future of the person, which is why the latter level will be evaluated only. The educational variables that were taken into account for this research are public expenditure per pupil at secondary level, illiteracy rate at the secondary level, absenteeism rate at the secondary level and level of education reached in the population aged 15 years and over; And all these variables were grouped the data depending on the geographical location, thus leaving the data divided into Coast, mountain range and jungle.
