description Las organizaciones deben tener un adecuado manejo de sus inventarios; por ello, es importante una gestión de inventarios para controlar los productos, para contar con información inmediata, ordenada y actualizada. Sin embargo, las empresas farmacéuticas presentan como debilidades: la desorganización, el bajo control de la mercadería en almacén, el no uso de procedimientos de gestión de inventarios, entre otros; lo que conlleva a obtener deficiencias en la utilización de los mismos. Por lo tanto, la investigación tiene el propósito de analizar la gestión de inventarios con diversos argumentos. Así mismo, se empleó como metodología la revisión de documentos en fuentes secundarias y bases de datos. Finalmente, mediante la recopilación de información se logra entender que la gestión de inventarios cumple un rol vital en las empresas para el control de todos los procesos involucrados, asimismo, mitigar riesgos de control de inventarios para una mayor eficiencia y rentabilidad en las empresas.
