Para realizar esta investigación, el método de investigación fue un Diseño de Contrastación no experimental cuyo tipo es descriptivo transversal retrospectiva, el cual consistió en una población de tres empleados de la Municipalidad Provincial de Trujillo vigentes al 31 de diciembre del 2012 que fueron el Gerente Municipal, al Gerente de Planeación y Presupuesto y al Gerente de Administración y Finanzas que a su vez fue la muestra. Se aplicó una entrevista a la muestra y además un análisis documental realizar la observación global de campo, cuestionario, entrevistas y fuentes escritas, llegamos a encontrar que si existe influencia entre el Presupuesto Público y la Gestión de la Municipalidad Provincial de Trujillo. Como resultado de este análisis quedó claro que existe influencia entre el Presupuesto Público y la Gestión de la Municipalidad Provincial de Trujillo. A través de cada uno de los capítulos se demostró la influencia entre las variables de estudio. Se ha alcanzado en la gestión municipal un 59.16% de efectividad debido a que el presupuesto Público cubrió el 60.56% de los requerimientos de la municipalidad a nivel de presupuesto en el año 2012 faltando cubrir 39.44% el presupuesto público en la gestión municipal.

To conduct this research, the research method was an experimental design Contrasting whose type is not transversal descriptive retrospective, which consisted of a population of three employees of the Provincial Municipality of Trujillo in effect at December 31, 2012 which were the City Manager, the Manager of Planning and Budget and the Finance and Administration Manager, which in turn was the sample. Was applied to the sample interview and documentary analysis also conduct comprehensive field observation, questionnaire, interviews and written sources, we find that if there is influence between Public Budget and Management of the Provincial Municipality of Trujillo. As a result of this analysis it became clear that there is influence between Public Budget and Management of the Provincial Municipality of Trujillo. Through each of the chapters demonstrated the influence among the study variables.
