The main objective of the research work called ““Analysis of the functional state and operational condition of the flexible pavement of José Gabriel Condorcanqui avenue between Calle 15 and Avenida Indoamérica““ is to analyze the current state of the pavement using the PCI methodology. The mentioned method is based on conducting a study through in situ recognition in order to analyze the current situation of the pavement under study. Thus, with the support of the manual, the types of damage found in both sections will be classified and thus define what kind of treatment and / or repair it needs. Its development is based primarily on the preliminary inspection of the pathologies found on José Gabriel Condorcanqui avenue between 15th Street and Indoamérica avenue to later make the respective record. Consequently, according to the equation established by the manual, 11 sample units were obtained in both lanes and, based on this, its area and the corresponding severity level were estimated in each fault. Afterwards, the corrected deduced values were estimated to obtain the PCI for all the sample units, thus, to be determined with a value of 55, which means that their classification is 'Regular'. Therefore, it is indicated that the functional and operational situation of the pavement requires a cold asphalt mix re-coating in the damages found to maintain its uniformity and thus be able to preserve its useful life
