La confiabilidad fue evaluada mediante un estudio piloto, empleándose el estadístico Kuder–Richardson Formula 20, encontrando una confiabilidad mayor al valor mínimo aceptable de 0.70 (KR-20 = 0.728). Se utilizó un análisis estadístico bivariado según el nivel de conocimiento y covariables en estudio (tiempo de ejercicio profesional, tipo de servicio profesional y estudio de Postgrado), el cual fue expresado en frecuencias absolutas y relativas (porcentuales). Resultados: Se encontró qué el 3.75% de cirujanos dentistas presenta un buen nivel de conocimiento, mientras el 66.25% un nivel regular y el 30% demuestran tener un mal nivel de conocimiento sobre uso racional de analgésicos en estomatología. Conclusiones: El nivel de conocimiento fue predominantemente regular.

Bivariate statistical analysis by level of knowledge and study covariates (practice time, type of professional service and postgraduate study), which was expressed in absolute and relative frequencies (percentage) was used. Results: It was found that 3.75% of dental surgeons presents a good level of knowledge, while the regular level 66.25% and 30% have a bad show level of knowledge about rational use of analgesics in dentistry.
