La investigación comienza con un análisis exhaustivo de las prácticas de gestión de inventarios existentes en la tienda Herrera, identificando áreas de oportunidad y desafíos clave que enfrenta. Posteriormente, se realiza el método ABC de gestión de inventarios basado en las mejores prácticas de la industria y las características específicas del negocio de la tienda Herrera. La investigación es de diseño experimental y descriptiva, la tienda Herrera tiene muchas limitaciones en el control de inventarios, lo cual tiene un proceso de almacenamiento inadecuado según el quehacer diario, sin considerar su desorganización que es lo que afecta la rentabilidad. Se afirma que el uso de una adecuada gestión de inventarios permitirá mejorar la rentabilidad en la tienda Comercial Herrera.

This thesis focuses on the study of the Herrera commercial store and its effort to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of its operations through the implementation of an optimized inventory management method. The investigation begins with a thorough analysis of the existing inventory management practices at the Herrera store, identifying areas of opportunity and key challenges it faces. Subsequently, the ABC method of inventory management is carried out based on the best practices in the industry and the specific characteristics of the Herrera store business. The research is experimental and descriptive in design, the Herrera store has many limitations in inventory control, which has an inadequate storage process according to daily tasks, without considering its disorganization, which is what affects profitability.
