Se revisó 189 historias clínicas de pacientes con Diabetes mellitus tipo 2, atendidos en el HRDT de Enero 2014 – Diciembre 2016, quienes según la fórmula para tamaño muestral fueron seleccionados al azar y divididos en 2 grupos: 63 casos con diagnóstico de complicaciones agudas y obesidad y 126 controles. Resultados: De los 63 casos la edad promedio fue de 59,53 ± 1,19 años; y de los 126 controles fue de 57,45 ± 1,94 años. En el análisis de frecuencia se encontró que de los 63 casos, 26 presentaron Obesidad correspondiendo a un 40.19%. En los 126 controles, 36 presentaron Obesidad correspondiendo a un 28.2%. Se encontró para la obesidad un OR=1,70[IC 95%: 1,072-2,725]; siendo estadísticamente significativo con un p<0.05 según la prueba Chi Cuadrado. Conclusiones: La obesidad es un factor asociado estadísticamente significativo de los pacientes con complicaciones agudas de diabetes mellitus tipo 2 del HRDT durante el periodo 2014 - 2016. |
