Determinar la influencia de un programa educativo en la mejora de hábitos de higiene bucal en estudiantes de una Institución de Educación Superior, Trujillo – 2023. Material y métodos: Se utilizó el tipo de investigación aplicada y el diseño fue cuasiexperimental de contrastación, con dos grupos, uno control y otro experimental, a los que se aplicó un pretest y un postest. Muestra: La muestra fue de 120 alumnos, muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia. Con el grupo experimental se desarrolló un programa educativo de ocho sesiones de aprendizaje. Resultados: Los resultados demostraron que el programa educativo ha influido positivamente en la mejora de hábitos de higiene bucal de los estudiantes observándose en el grupo experimental nivel alto 62% y en el grupo control el 22% en el mismo nivel. Conclusión: El programa educativo mejora significativamente (p<0,05) los hábitos de higiene bucal en estudiantes de una Institución de Educación Superior, Trujillo - 2023 |

Materials and methods: The type of applied research was used and the design was quasi-experimental contrastive, with two groups, one control and one experimental group, to which a pre- and post- test were applied. Sample: The sample was made up of 120 students, non-probabilistic sampling by convenience. An educational program of eight teaching - learning sessions was developed with the experimental group. Results: The results show that the educational program has positively influenced the improvement of oral hygiene habits of the students, with 62% being observed in the experimental group at a high level and 22% in the control group at the same level.
