De igual manera, la procedencia rural (ORc = 4,29; IC 95% = 1,87 – 9,82; p = 0,01) y la presencia de comorbilidad (ORc = 5,34; IC 95% = 2,57 – 11,10; p = 0,01) también mostraron asociación significativa a la no adherencia terapéutica. Por su parte, en el análisis multivariado, el nivel no adecuado de conocimientos del autocuidado del pie (ORa = 5,31; IC 95% = 3,02 – 7,28; p = 0,01) se asoció de manera significativa a la no adherencia terapéutica. De igual manera, la procedencia rural (ORa = 2,68; IC 95% = 1,09 – 6,60; p = 0,03) y la presencia de comorbilidad (ORa = 4,46; IC 95% = 2,05 – 9,69; p = 0,01) también mostraron asociación significativa a la no adherencia terapéutica. Conclusiones: El nivel no adecuado de conocimiento del autocuidado se asocia a la no adherencia terapéutica en pacientes con diabetes del Hospital Belen de Trujillo

Results: According to the Odds Ratio (OR) test, by bivariate analysis, the inadequate level of knowledge of foot self-care (ORc = 2.46; 95% CI = 2.00 - 3.04; p = 0.01) was significantly associated with therapeutic non-adherence. Similarly, rural origin (ORc = 4.29; 95% CI = 1.87 - 9.82; p = 0.01) and the presence of comorbidity (ORc = 5.34; 95% CI = 2.57 - 11.10; p = 0.01) were also significantly associated with therapeutic nonadherence.
