Se realizó un estudio de casos y controles anidados en una cohorte incluyendo a un total de 213 pacientes, 71 casos y 142 controles, de los cuales se recopiló información mediante fichas recolectoras de datos, utilizando el muestreo no probabilístico tipo censal. Se utilizó la prueba de independencia de criterios Chi Cuadrado de Pearson con un nivel de significancia del 5% (p<0.05) y para la comprobación de hipótesis se utilizó el Odds Ratio con un intervalo de confianza al 95%. Se encontró que el 80.3% de los jóvenes que tuvieron acné estuvieron expuestos a la exposición solar y el 19.7% no tuvieron exposición solar, además la asociación entre exposición solar y acné fue altamente significativa (p<0,001) con un OR de 9.07. No se encontró asociación significativa entre la edad, el sexo, la región de procedencia, la ocupación, ni el tabaquismo con el acné juvenil (p>0.05). La exposición solar es un factor de riesgo de acné juvenil en el Servicio de Dermatología del Hospital Víctor Lazarte Echegaray durante el año 2024.

A nested case-control study was carried out in a cohort including a total of 213 patients, 71 cases and 142 controls, from whom information was collected through data collection forms, using non-probabilistic census-type sampling. The Pearson Chi Square criterion independence test was used with a significance level of 5% (p <0.05) and the Odds Ratio was used to test the hypothesis with a confidence interval of 95%. It was found that 80.3% of young people who had acne were exposed to sun exposure and 19.7% had no sun exposure, in addition the association between sun exposure and acne was highly significant (p <0.001) with an OR of 9.07. No significant association was found between age, sex, region of origin, occupation, or smoking with juvenile acne (p>0.05).
