Resultados: La frecuencia de miomatosis uterina en los pacientes con y sin hemorragia puerperal fue de 13% y 3% respectivamente. El odss ratio de la miomatosis uterina en relación a hemorragia puerperal fue de 4.44 (p<0.05) siendo su intervalo de confianza al 95% (1.38 – 7.26). Conclusiones: La miomatosis uterina es factor de riesgo asociado al desarrollo de hemorragia puerperalpues condiciona un riesgo muestral de 4.44 el cual es estadísticamente significativo. Palabras Clave: Miomatosis uterina, hemorragia puerperal, factor de riesgo.
