Se calculó la sensibilidad, especificidad, valor predictivo positivo y negativo y la exactitud predictiva del Bacterial Pneumonia Score para predecir Neumonía bacteriana. Se aplico el test de chi cuadrado para validación de resultados. Resultados: La sensibilidad, especificidad, valor predictivo positivo, negativo y la exactitud predictiva del Bacterial Pneumonia Score para predecir neumonía bacteriana en niños diagnosticados con neumonía fue de 88%, 84%, 85%, 87% y 86% respectivamente. Conclusiones: El Bacterial Pneumonia Score demostró utilidad para predecir neumonía bacteriana en niños diagnosticados con neumonía en el Hospital Belén de Trujillo.

Sensitivity, Specificity, positive and negative predictive value and the predictive accuracy of Bacterial Pneumonia Score for predicting bacterial pneumonia were calculated. The chi square test was applied for validation of results. Results: The sensitivity, specificity, positive and negative predictive value and the predictive accuracy of Bacterial Pneumonia Score to predict bacterial pneumonia in children diagnosed with pneumonia were 88%, 84%, 85%, 87% and 86% respectively.
